Namutumba District, with a total area of 801.87 Sq Km, lies in the eastern region of Uganda, sharing borders with the Iganga District in the south, Bugiri in the south East Kaliro and Pallisa in the North and Butalega in the East.

The District Headquarters arenlocated at formely Saza Head quarters,Busiki County,Kaiti village.

Namutumba Town Council serves as an administrative and commercial centre.  Other urban centers include Bugobi and Kibaale TC.
